Common Questions
Everyone has their own design taste. I inevitably have a certain style, but I try to diversify and be open to creating art in new styles whenever the opportunity presents. Which means we can create something completely cool and unique to best serve you.
I also know words like, "Kerning", "Orphan", "Padding", and "Resolution". So you can be confident I've got all of that technical jargon covered 😉

I spend most of my days in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, XD, and After Effects.
But there are a range of other programs I have worked in or have experience with. Some of the notable ones include Cinema 4d, Figma, Sketch, and Google Web Designer. As well as project management suites such as Basecamp, Jira/Confluence, and Asana.
But I'm always looking to add more tools to my tool belt!

Feedback is a welcome part of the design process, and I find that 99% of my projects have turned out better after multiple iterations and influence have come from my coworkers and clients.
It's also important to know when a design is good enough to roll out. A design that isn't perfect but can be used is better than a perfect design that doesn't ever come out or meet it's deadline.
I'll always do my best to make sure we're getting the best result possible, while also keeping expectations realistic.

There are 2 options for billing:
1. Hourly Rate - If you are confident that you have a simpler project, or won't require many changes then the hourly rate is going to be your most cost effective option.
2. Fixed Rate - This will come with a certain number of edits you can ask to be made to the project. It's a good choice if you have a budget you need to stick to, and/or anticipate asking for a lot of changes. The fixed rate keeps costs from ballooning and ensures we stay focused to get the most important changes for you done and approved while keeping projects on schedule.

I currently live in Providence, RI. But am easily able to travel to Boston and surrounding New England areas. And I am also happy to work remotely with people or teams from any location.
I did with the help of an amazing WordPress template, X Theme, and a couple of great plugins. There are some custom aspects, and I am able to work with HTML/CSS and a small bit of PHP to get something like this functional. I'd be happy to talk with you about what we can accomplish together with WordPress for you!
That is where I am best! But I enjoy working with all kinds of hands on projects as well. Some of my hands on hobbies include building computers, furniture, or most recently renovating my home. (I will admit Cinema4d was key in helping come up with accurate floor plans and interior design ideas).
Comic Sans. Is that even a real question?
I thought computer science would have been a better degree, but design actually worked out for him. Who would have guessed?
